In my view it's about creating space and trust which we need to initiate as investors (as we hold the power in the relationship usually). Some founders will want to discuss this - others won't. But as VCs we need to lead by creating space to have this conversation for those that do want support. So I would talk about this in the kick off meeting, portfolio support pack, create financial and emotional support for those having children, host fireside chats with founders who have taken parental leave.
